After a somewhat competitive first quarter, Alabama football’s offense took off and never looked back railroading a weakened Wildcats squad 63-3.

In a week when underdogs were ripe to make an upset, Alabama offense was clicking all on cylinders against a Kentucky team that had multiple players missing due to COVID-19 including Chris Rodriguez and emerging star linebacker Jamin Davis.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban did not let up one bit, keeping his starters in for a majority of the game and really took it to a Kentucky defense that hasn’t lived up to the hype this season.

DeVonta Smith set the all time SEC career touchdown reception record in the second quarter which was previously held by former Florida receiver Chris Doering.

Heisman-hopeful Mac Jones also had a solid game throwing for 230 yards and two touchdowns. The assault continued all night and was pretty much over before the second half.

But without further ado, here are my three takeaways from Alabama’s blowout victory against the Wildcats.
