2. Kentucky’s offense is as bad as ever

While the Cats did miss there bruiser running back Chris Rodriguez due to COVID-19, through seven games, there hasn’t been many moments where the Wildcats offense has looked good.

If the Wildcats want to salvage the rest of this season and to look towards the future, offensive coordinator Eddie Gran needs to create a more balanced attack if they ever want the defense to respect the passing game.

As for the quarterback position, despite all Terry Wilson has done for the program, I think it’s time to move on from him as he simply cannot make the throws needed to implement such a, offense. The offense is too predictable with him under center as teams dare Kentucky to throw each and every game.

Mark Stoops and Gran need to look towards the future and start either backups Joey Gatewood or Beau Allen the rest of the way. The reps they each can gain from the last few games of the season can give the coaches great insight come time for spring workouts and practice barring any other COVID-19 related setbacks.
