Arkansas football has what it takes to bring down the defending champions in Week 12. Here’s why the Razorbacks will beat LSU.

What an upside down season 2020 has been. Who would have thought that two months into the year, Arkansas would have more wins than reigning national champion LSU?

The Razorbacks, led by first-year head coach Sam Pittman, are 3-4 and should probably be 4-3 but there’s still plenty to be excited about in Fayetteville. The future is incredibly bright.

Unfortunately, LSU has been experiencing the opposite luck. The Tigers are just 2-3 after winning the national title a year ago. They suffered a lot of attrition with Joe Brady, Joe Burrow, Dave Aranda, Justin Jefferson, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and a number of defensive stars. This team looks completely different and it’s showed.

Arkansas has its best chance to beat LSU in about five years and pull back even at 4-4 on the season with plenty of momentum.

Why will the Razorbacks beat LSU on Saturday?

3. LSU will be rusty

It’s been two whole weeks since LSU last saw the field and while that may not seem like a big deal, the last time the Tigers did play, they lost to Auburn by 37 points.

This team just hasn’t looked great this season and the last time LSU did play well, it was Oct. 24 against a bad South Carolina team.

Arkansas, on the other hand, has been playing consistently and the Razorbacks have been competitive each and every week. They have also won their last two games games after dropping the opener against Georgia and they have faced stiff competition essentially every week.

LSU isn’t going to look great in this one because of that rust and Ed Orgeron has to just pray that his team’s conditioning won’t be an issue.
