BYU football gets something of a bye in Week 12 as North Alabama comes to town. Will the Cougars dominate once again en route to a 9-0 record?

Kalani Sitake is in the midst of his best season as the head coach of BYU. Though he’s had to deal with an adjusted schedule that wiped out a number of Power Five opponents, he’s taken advantage of the slate to jump out to an 8-0 record.

The Cougars are one of the best non-Power Five teams in the country. They rival Cincinnati this season and if there’s a non-Power Five team that makes the playoff, it could very well be BYU.

On Saturday, BYU gets a nice “bye” week of sorts with North Alabama coming to town from the FCS.

What can we expect from Saturday’s BYU vs. North Alabama matchup?

3. Tyler Allgeier rushes for 150 yards

If there’s one running back outside of the Power Five who doesn’t quite get the respect he deserves, it’s sophomore Tyler Allgeier.

The BYU running back has 710 yards and nine touchdowns on the year with 6.8 yards per carry. He is a load to bring down at 5-11 and 220 pounds and it’s been quite obvious that he’s a problem for opposing defenses, especially when they have to respect Zach Wilson, too.

Although he’s one of the best running backs in the Group of Five this season, Allgeier has yet to rush for 150 yards in a single game and the closest he’s gotten was 132 in the season opener at Navy. He’s going to top that on Saturday afternoon against the Lions from North Alabama who have yet to see a running back of his caliber yet.

I’m going to say he only needs 15 carries to hit the 150-yard mark with a touchdown. He’ll be a problem all game long for the Lions.
