1. Buy stock in the Cougars as a playoff contender

Sitting at 9-0 with one game remaining on the schedule, there’s about a 99 percent chance the Cougars are going into the postseason with a perfect 10-0 record.

The Cougars’ wins aren’t the most impressive due to the restructured schedule due to COVID-19, but they did just prove themselves a couple of weeks ago with a blowout win over Boise State, 51-17. BYU dominated a ranked Boise State team on the road and Zach Wilson continued to look like a top Heisman Trophy contender.

It’s time to buy stock in the No. 8 Cougars as a playoff team.

Cincinnati struggled with UCF on Saturday afternoon and Coastal Carolina also needed a comeback to put away App State so it looks like BYU is the only consistent threat from outside the Power Five.

The committee will find a way to knock the Cougars for that schedule, which is understandable, but we have to realize just how dominant they have been.

Everyone deserves to see BYU in the playoff against a team like Alabama.
