Chip Kelly gets to travel back to Eugene to face his former team as UCLA football will take on Oregon. Will the Bruins pull off the upset?

Chip Kelly is headed back to Eugene to face his former team in the Oregon Ducks. His new team sits at 1-1 after beating Cal last Sunday and he’s hoping that will give the Bruins some momentum.

Kelly has to feel some pressure in this one as a blowout loss would almost certainly place a fire under his seat. A win, however, could cool that seat tremendously.

The Bruins are looking like a team that could take a step in the right direction this season, but an upset over the Pac-12’s top team seems unlikely. But it’s 2020 and anything can happen.

What could take place on Saturday afternoon in Eugene?

3. Chip Kelly will dive deep into bag of tricks

Going back to Autzen Stadium has to be a bittersweet feeling for Chip Kelly. He was the one who chose to leave Oregon for the NFL. He has since found his way back to the Pac-12 via the head coaching job at UCLA.

The Bruins are not in a good place as a program under Kelly and he’s been feeling the pressure this season. He’s been on the hot seat to start the season and it has cooled a bit with a win over Cal.

Getting a chance to get completely off the hot seat with a win over Oregon, Kelly will dive deep into his bag of tricks against the Ducks. He’s going to pull out all the stops to beat the Ducks because why not? He has been known for his offensive genius over his career and that will be evident on Saturday as the trickery will take center stage.

Don’t expect another vanilla performance from UCLA’s offense against Oregon.
