UCLA Football: 3 takeaways from tough loss to Oregon in Week 12
1. The Pac-12 actually makes no sense
Much like the rest of college football this season, the Pac-12 makes absolutely no sense. Somehow USC is 2-0 with two wins that probably should have been losses against Arizona State and Arizona, Washington State nearly beat Oregon a week ago, Colorado is atop the Pac-12 South and the Ducks nearly lost again to a perceived inferior foe in USC.
Oregon struggled a bit last weekend against Washington State as the Cougars needed a comeback to beat Nick Rolovich and Co. Who would have thought the clear favorite in the Pac-12 would struggle yet again versus UCLA at home?
It’s been a weird season and it seems as if the Pac-12 doesn’t quite have a prayer in the College Football Playoff race.
Oregon would have to win out with each game resulting in a blowout, including the conference title game and the same goes for USC. There’s no chance Colorado makes a playoff push as the Buffaloes aren’t even ranked yet.
This conference, much like the rest of the nation, is completely upside down this season and this three-point game proved it.
