1. Kentucky absolutely dominated by Alabama

The Wildcats had some momentum going in the first quarter against the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide but they only came out with three points. The Crimson Tide’s high-powered offense scored 21 points in the second and third quarters against Kentucky.

Alabama accounted for 509 total yards with 226 of them coming from the run game. The Tide offense also accounted for 29 first downs and was 6-for-9 on third-down conversions.

Wildcats quarterback Terry Wilson and his offense did a good job of extending the drives in the first quarter. They were able to find weaknesses of the Tide defense as they accounted for 121 total yards. After that, the Tide completely shut down the dynamic schemes of the Wildcats. The Wildcats were only able to account for 58 total yards and four first downs in the final three quarters.

The Wildcats accounted for 179 yards with 59 of them coming from the run game.

Heisman contender Mac Jones threw for 230 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and a QBR of 166.3 on 16-of-24 completions. Senior wide out DeVonta Smith caught nine passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

The Tide were 7-for-7 in the red zone.

This was the biggest loss of the year for the Wildcats and potentially one of the worst losses of the 2020 season.
