The first College Football Playoff rankings are officially here and some teams were given no respect. These are the biggest snubs.

One of the more discussed times of the college football year goes down when the AP Poll does not matter. Over the past six years, the insertion of the College Football Playoff rankings has seen head-scratching decisions, especially during its first set of rankings.

It’s a much tougher system, minimizing the committee from a total of 64, all the way to a group of 12 individuals. If the first rankings are any indicator, it’s that they don’t mean much until near the end of the season.

Oklahoma began the 2015 rankings just inside the top 15. They would go on to run the gauntlet, win the Big 12 title and make an appearance in the Orange Bowl against Clemson.

However, the lack of consideration for certain schools certainly were put on the frontlines and the criteria of the committee was placed right on the table. The East Coast is littered inside the top 10, as nine teams are east of the Mississippi River. While teams out west, like BYU and Oregon, sit way down the list, just outside the top 15.

These five teams in particular are ones, who have a uphill mountain to climb, after not getting the recognition they deserve.
