2. Oklahoma vs. West Virginia

Just a couple of years ago this was the premier Big 12 game. Dana Holgorsen and Will Grier took on Kyler Murray and Lincoln Riley, coming up just short in a 59-56 thriller. Holgorsen left after that season, along with most of the talent on West Virginia’s roster. That forced the Mountaineers into a massive rebuild led by new coach Neal Brown.

Oklahoma, meanwhile, is still the class of the conference but two early season losses put them out of the national consciousness for the 2020 season.

So, from the outside looking in, it seems like this game is a worse than normal Oklahoma playing a rebuilding West Virginia. Not much to see. Except that couldn’t be further from the truth. The Mountaineers are well ahead of schedule behind Brown. Meanwhile, Oklahoma has found its footing and has gotten back to its old, explosive tricks.

This game should be a great clash of styles, as the defensively dominant West Virginia looks to upset an explosive Oklahoma in what should be a great game.
