Friday’s North Carolina vs. Notre Dame football game will be one of the best of the week but can the Irish stave off a playoff-crushing upset?

Notre Dame is heading into a Friday afternoon game against North Carolina with the hopes of avoiding a major upset and maintaining that No. 2 spot in the playoff rankings.

The Tar Heels, on the other hand, are ranked No. 25 in the country and have upset on the mind. They have the talent to pull this one off as they were ranked in the top 10 earlier in the season as a potential playoff threat.

If there’s one game on the radar this Friday that everyone should be tuning in to, it would have to be Notre Dame at North Carolina.

Let’s get bold.

3. Kyren Williams approaches 200 yards

North Carolina’s defense hasn’t been great this season and Kyren Williams has been playing out of his mind, breaking out in his sophomore campaign. In fact, he’s just 223 yards shy of 1,000 on the season and he’s going to get dangerous close to reaching that mark on Friday.

Williams is coming off one of his worst games of the season, rushing for just 37 yards on nine carries in a win over Boston College and you know he’s hungry to put that behind him.

Two games ago, Williams had a monster game in primetime with the entire nation watching as he finished with 140 yards and two touchdowns in a Clemson win. He’s going to top that performance in this one, approaching 200 yards.

The Tar Heels allow over 150 yards per game on the ground and Williams will top that by himself, and then some. I’ll say somewhere in the neighborhood of 184 yards.
