2. Georgia’s defense bounced back in a big way

Georgia is thought to have one of the best defenses in the entire country and for the first half of the season that was true. Georgia then had three really tough outings against Alabama, Florida and Mississippi State that had some people doubting if this really was one of the elite units in the nation.

Georgia got after South Carolina’s young quarterback early and often and never really allowed the freshman to get settled and make a lot of big plays down the field.

The Bulldogs completely took away the Gamecocks ground game, forcing South Carolina to try and do everything through the air.

The Bulldogs are still missing some key veterans on defense due to injuries, but this unit is playing better than it did in recent weeks and that is something that fans should be happy about, even if it did come against South Carolina.
