Texas A&M football will be a serious playoff threat in the final weeks of the regular season. Will the Aggies make that top four?

Texas A&M turned a corner this season and that was after the Aggies looked like they were on the way down after a blowout loss to Alabama.

Things have turned around quickly and a win over Florida can do that.

Still, the Aggies are on the outside of the College Football Playoff race, looking in. That’s not to say they don’t have a shot at making that final four, but they’ll need some things to go their way in the final month of the regular season.

How will the Aggies fare in December?

3. Aggies win final 2-3 games by double-digits

Texas A&M has two (official) games left on the schedule and even though the Aggies will be missing out on the SEC title game, barring some sort of miracle where LSU and Arkansas both upset the Crimson Tide. That would mean Texas A&M would have to win out as well in that scenario and the Aggies would be in the SEC title game, representing the West.

That’s not going to happen, but Texas A&M will win the final two or three games handily.

Jimbo Fisher will lead his Aggies to double-digit wins over Auburn and Tennessee to finish the regular season and there could be another addition with Ole Miss potentially getting rescheduled for Dec. 19. If that game does happen, I see the Aggies adding another double-digit win to the resume.

The Aggies will be heading into bowl season as one of the best teams in the country.
