Takeaways for Wisconsin

In addition to the injury to Kayden Lyles, the Badgers looked as if they were still suffering the side effects of their COVID-19 protocols. Though they outgained Hoosiers 342-217, Wisconsin looked sluggish offensively. Wisconsin is trying to find themselves offensively. Graham Mertz gives them a threat at quarterback, and Jalen Berger flashed in this game as well.

Defensively, the Badgers looked good again. Wisconsin did a good job against Indiana’s running game; unfortunately, the offense could not find the endzone to support a solid defensive effort.

Takeaways for Indiana football

The Hoosiers find themselves in a position to play for the Big Ten title for the first time since 1967. Indiana has shown the ability to win ugly games this season. They were outgained by Penn State but found a way to win late in the game. This game was no different. They scored and held on to this win.

Indiana has to be concerned about the running game. This was yet another game where Indiana was ineffective running the football. Having an effective running game would help Jack Tuttle, who does not have much playing experience.
