Iowa State will be looking to inch even closer to the Big 12 championship game with a win over West Virginia.

It has been a dream season for the Iowa State football team in 2020. The Cyclones have beaten Oklahoma and Texas this season and more than likely headed to the Big 12 title game for the first time in school history.

This is all thanks to head coach Matt Campbell, who is building a winner in Ames, even when it didn’t really seem possible.

Of course, Iowa State is fresh off the win last Friday over Texas in what was another significant moment. But now Iowa State (7-1), which ranked ninth in the recent College Football Playoff rankings, needs to stack success that means taking down an upset-minded West Virginia team.

Will Iowa State hold serve or can West Virginia, a touchdown underdog shock the college football world?

Breece Hall gets over 125 yards rushing

While lots of people are giving Campbell the credit for turning Iowa State around, running back Breece Hall deserves his fair share too and in eight games this season, he has rushed for more than 1,200 yards and has eclipsed 100 yards seven times.

Last week, Hall ran the ball well against Texas but was held to just 91 yards on 20 attempts, although he did make it into the end zone for his 16th rushing touchdown.

West Virginia actually has a solid run defense is allowing 112 yards per game as well as 3.3 yards per attempt. Yet, the Mountaineers haven’t faced a back quite like Hall, who won’t just reach 100, but will get more than 125 yards and two TDs.
