Wan’Dale Robinson is something special

There were a few things to be excited about Saturday as a Nebraska fan and the play of Martinez was one of them. Yet, having a playmaker like Wan’Dale Robinson certainly makes the job of the quarterback easier and the sophomore took his play to another level Saturday.

Robinson hauled in nine receptions and went for 114 yards including a 25-yard gain. Much like Rondale Moore on the other side of field, Robinson is a threat to make an explosive play every time he touches the ball and with Dedrick Mills back, he wasn’t needed in the backfield as much.

As frustrating as things have been under Frost at times, the offense started to look really good on Saturday. Zavier Betts is becoming a consistent presence in the passing game and he added five receptions for 36 yards.

Austin Allen came up with a big play and if just felt like Nebraska could score any time it had the football. A big part of that, is having a go-to guy like Robinson, which is something that the Huskers have really been lacking.
