Notre Dame football was down early to Syracuse but the Irish battled back to blow out the Orange en route to another win.

In what could have been classified as a trap game or one that Notre Dame may have had a tough time getting up for, the Irish dominated Syracuse en route to a 45-21 win.

Ian Book had himself yet another solid game, passing for 285 yards and three touchdowns and Kyren Williams broke 100 yards on the ground again. Javon McKinley also broke 100 receiving yards while the Irish defense struggled a bit.

The Fighting Irish are now a perfect 10-0 on the season with just one regular season game remaining and a trip to the ACC title game for a rematch with Clemson awaiting. If the Irish win that last regular season game, it’ll be tough for the playoff committee to keep them out.

What’d we learn from Notre Dame’s big win?

3. Kyren Williams is going to be a nightmare for years

Teams with Notre Dame on their future schedule are already dreading facing Kyren Williams. The talented second-year running back has been a menace this season and even after a slow start to the game where he had just 40 yards on 10 carries, but he finished with 20 carries for 110 yards.

Williams broke 1,000 yards on the season with his big game and closed out with 70 yards on his final 10 touches which just shows how explosive he can be. He gets better as the game progresses.

Notre Dame always seems to have these talented running backs who can rush for 100 yards at any given moment and Williams is the latest. And he might be the best of the bunch.

This kid is going to go down as an all-time great Notre Dame back.
