Business as usual for Buckeyes

Another day, another dollar, another win for Ohio State.

If you have followed Ohio State this year, you noticed this game followed the same formula they have used all season long. Great running game, electric plays by Fields, and a defense that is great for the majority of the game.

The running game for Ohio State football has been an unstoppable unit all season long and today was no different. The Buckeyes rushed for 322 yards on 48 carries and 4 touchdowns while averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Master Teague and Trey Sermon combined for 24 carries and 158 yards as they continue to bully opposing defenses.

Fields was great passing the ball as well, making great throws in tight windows. Fields finished 17 of 24 with 303 total yards and 4 touchdowns (two rushing). Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson continue to lead the passing attack, as they have now combined for 70 of the 107 Buckeye receptions in 2020.

Defensively, this was the best effort of the season for Ohio State. In their past three games, the Buckeyes have allowed a combined 87 points. Saturday, they allowed just 10 points, and did it despite not having their signal caller Tuf Borland.

This was a great game for Ohio State football, but it was exactly what we have seen from them throughout their first four games. The Buckeyes continue to prove that they are among College Football’s elite and are deserving of a playoff spot.
