College football’s Week 15 AP Poll was unchanged at the top as championship week draws closer and the playoff race is in clear focus.

Who would have thought that a game put together on short notice Wednesday between two teams that the playoff committee has not respected up to this point in the season would give us one of the best and entertaining games of the year?

Coastal Carolina made their case that they are the top group of five team this weekend when they pulled the upset over BYU at home. This was a huge win not only for the Chanticleers, but college football in general. These type of games should happen more often and schools should be more willing to schedule these types of games.

A win for Coastal Carolina gave them a boost in the Week 15 AP Poll.

Some under the radar teams had some good showings on Saturday, with NC State finishing their season at 8-3 and on a four game winning streak. An 8-3 record was unexpected, even in a season like 2020 and Dave Doeren should get some consideration for ACC coach of the year.

Colorado is off to an undefeated start after most picked them to finish last in the division this season and there is the chance that they could play for the Pac-12 title, should USC slip up.

Buffalo and their high powered offense did not get a chance to play this weekend, but the voters have noticed how they are dominating the MAC so far.

The season is winding down and we are only one week away from getting ready for championship week. The contenders are known and the paths for some teams to make a playoff run has shrunk and there is no room for error in the last two weeks of the regular season.

Here are the winners and losers from the new Week 15 AP Poll.
