. 0-8. Previous: 14th. Commodores . 14. team. 887

The Vanderbilt Commodores may have had the most exciting player on the field a couple of weeks ago in Sarah Fuller, a Vanderbilt soccer player turned kicker, but they sure didn’t play well to get her any serious playing time. She had one kick-off and that was the end of it as the ‘Dores were shut out 41-0 by the Missouri Tigers in their last played game as their game with Georgia was postponed this past week. Don’t expect them to move up anytime soon.

Bulldogs . 13. team. 893. . 2-6. Previous: 13th

Mississippi State has gotten better since making a change at quarterback, allowing Will Rogers to take the reigns. However, they haven’t been able to take that and actually turn it into wins and as a result, they still sit at No. 13 in my power rankings. They got this past week off, so things couldn’t get worse in Starkville, but they sure don’t seem to be getting much better.  Now, they take on Auburn on Saturday night.

2-8. Previous: 12th. Gamecocks . 12. team. 850.

South Carolina now has a new head coach in Shane Beamer and after a loss to Kentucky, things aren’t looking great for them at least this season. Beamer is now in charge, but South Carolina is done for the season. All they can do now is wait.

839. . 2-6. Previous: 8th. Volunteers . 11. team

The Volunteers sit at 2-5 on the season that was supposed to kick-off the “Decade of the Vols.” To say that the decade isn’t off to a great start would put it mildly. They fall three spots in the last few weeks to sit at No. 11 in the power rankings. Now, they face off against Vanderbilt in a game they should be able to win easily.
