It’s been a rough season for most Pac-12 teams, including Arizona and Arizona State football who are both looking for their first win of 2020.

One of the biggest rivalries in the Pac-12 will be set on Friday night as the Arizona State Sun Devils (0-2) will travel to Tucson to take on rival Arizona (0-4).

The Duel in the Desert rivalry has seen better days between the Sun Devils and the Wildcats, whose seasons have been affected significantly by COVID-19.

Arizona State currently have a three-game winning streak against the Wildcats as well as a 7-3 record in the last 10 games. They are looking to make this game on Friday night a fourth consecutive victory over the Wildcats.

The only two games that the Sun Devils have played is the 28-27 road loss to the No. 20 USC Trojans in their first week of the season and a disappointing 25-18 loss to the UCLA Bruins last weekend. Prior to the game against UCLA, the Sun Devils have had three of their games canceled.

Arizona has not had the easiest season either as it has been soundly defeated by three of the four conference foes it has played. Outside of the 34-30 home loss to USC, the Wildcats have lost their games by 11 or more points.

The Sun Devils are coming into this game as 11-point favorites over their rivals in the Wildcats. Here’s why the Sun Devils will defeat the Wildcats on Friday night.
