On the unofficial final weekend of college football’s 2020 regular season, upsets will be crucial to the playoff hopes of many teams.

With Championship Weekend next week, there are still four games not officially set. The Pac-12, Conference USA and AAC title games are all open, while the MAC West is still up for grabs.

It’s not so much the conference title games that teams need help with, it’s the Playoff rankings. Outside of the top four, there are still four teams that believe they have a chance to make it to the College Football Playoff. Texas A&M, Iowa State and Cincinnati need to most help, while Florida is almost guaranteed to get in if they win the SEC Championship.

Will these teams get the help they need?

Last week, teams on upset alert went a combined 4-2. Texas, Penn State, Missouri and Iowa all took care of business. Missouri barely won 50-48 in one of he best games of the season. App State and Oregon both lost close games.

On the season, teams on upset alert are 31-17-2. Can the favorites continue the hot streak?
