Mac Jones Heisman status

I’m here to say after today’s performance, he should not longer be considered for the award. Yes, the numbers weren’t bad today, but it further proved the national narrative that Mac Jones is a pedestrian quarterback.

He didn’t throw a single pass past 20 yards, he didn’t throw a single touchdown, and he didn’t throw for many yards.

Florida quarterback Kyle Trask, before he plays against LSU tonight, has thrown 38 touchdowns passes opposed to Mac Jones’ 27 touchdown passes.

Although the Heisman trophy isn’t strictly about statistics, that eleven touchdown difference is such a significant gap that voters can’t overlook it. There is some good news looming however for Mac Jones and that news is he’s the quarterback for the best team in the country.
