As the early signing period is wrapping up, Miami football is putting the finishing touches on what could be a top-10 recruiting class.

When we last saw them on the field, the Miami football team was giving up nearly 800 yards to North Carolina and that game cost the Canes a spot in the Orange Bowl.

Today, Miami football took a little sting off of that loss by signing some elite prospects in the early signing period and this class could have some instant impact guys that can help the Hurricanes build off of their eight win season in 2020.

Miami is battling to position itself to finish with the second-best recruiting class in the ACC, going back and forth with North Carolina to see who finishes behind Clemson, who is certain to finish with the top class yet again in the ACC.

Most of Miami’s class has been committed for some time and the hope is for the Hurricanes to add to the class later in the day.

One of the top quarterbacks in the country, Jake Garcia is expected to commit to the Canes later in the evening after he decommitted from USC earlier in the month. Garcia could be battling for the starting job next season if D’Eriq King takes his talents to the NFL.

Miami did a nice job of keeping some of the in-state talent at home, which is something that is going to be required for Manny Diaz if he wants to get the Hurricanes back to national championship contention.

The Hurricanes signed two of the top recruits in the state and that was a big win considering how coveted south Florida recruits are and how well Alabama and Georgia do in the state.

Here are the three signees that I think will have an instant impact for the Miami Hurricanes in 2021.
