Who wins and by how much?

The bottom line is that Ohio State football is not guaranteed to get into the College Football Playoff, even though the Buckeyes are currently the fourth-ranked team.

The committee talked about how it was considering Texas A&M and the Aggies (7-1) are playing just a conference game against Tennessee, assuming it’s played.

Certainly, the Aggies have won more games, but is beating LSU, Florida, Mississippi State and Auburn more impressive than Ohio State which would have wins over Northwestern, Indiana, Penn State, Michigan State, Illinois and Rutgers?

I think without a non-conference schedule, it’s pretty hard to make the case that the SEC is better than the Big Ten just because. It’s also my bet that if Ohio State and the Aggies played straight up, the Buckeyes would be the favorite to win. They also pass the eye test.

Which is a key part of what’s at stake Saturday. For Ohio State, this isn’t just about the Big Ten title, it’s about impressing the committee.

A sloppy effort that goes down to wire may not be enough for Ohio State to hold its spot, even though it should be.

Northwestern is a good football team too is this is basically its Super Bowl. I mean could you imagine Northwestern winning the Big Ten championship? It hasn’t happened in decades, so the Buckeyes have got to be ready.

That being said, Fields will be spectacular. Yes, I think he will throw an interception, but with his arm and his legs, he will do more than enough to lead OSU to victory. In fact, with a slew of scores in the second half, it won’t even be all that close, despite a very competitive feel throughout.
