The 2020 Myrtle Beach Bowl will be the first postseason game of the year and here’s how you can watch App State and North Texas online.

Bowl season is finally upon us and things will get kicked off with App State and North Texas facing off in the 2020 Myrtle Beach Bowl in Conway, S.C. on Monday afternoon.

It’s not exactly a must-see matchup as App State finished the regular season 8-3 while North Texas is the massive underdog here, wrapping up the regular season with a 4-5 mark.

Zac Thomas had a bit of a letdown season for the Mountaineers, posting just under 2,000 yards with 19 touchdowns and a career-high 11 interceptions. He did complete about 64 percent of his throws but his turnover rate was far too high. He will be the guy to watch on offense, along with sophomore running back Camerun Peoples.

The Mountaineers’ defense was one of the best in the country while North Texas had one of the worst, allowing over 500 yards per game.

The Mean Green made up for that — sort of — with over 500 yards of total offense per game, led by sophomore quarterback Austin Aune who has 1,650 yards and 13 touchdowns. HIs accuracy is concerning, but he doesn’t make a ton of mistakes. His favorite target is one to watch for as Jaelon Darden finished the regular season with 74 catches for 1,190 yards and 19 touchdowns. He might be the best receiver no one talks about.

Darden and Aune could be the reason North Texas has a chance here, but don’t sleep on backup quarterback Jason Bean who has almost 900 passing yards and over 300 rushing yards this season.
