Texas A&M football’s senior class is full of guys that won’t soon be forgotten. They didn’t get a senior night, so here’s a proper tribute.

Texas A&M football missed out on a senior night this season due to COVID-19 cancellations and due to that, I am putting together this article thanking a group that has seen every high and every low that Aggie football has to offer, starting from the UCLA fall apart and ending with a top-five ranking and a New Year’s Six berth.

Let’s start with a list of seniors and graduate players on the team.

  • DL Michael Clemons, Graduate
  • DB Travon Fuller, Graduate
  • LB Braden White, Graduate
  • DB Kendrick Carper, Graduate
  • QB Colton Taylor, Graduate
  • LB Ikenna Okeke, Graduate
  • RB McCrae Rutledge, Graduate
  • PK Drew Riethman, Graduate
  • FB Cagan Baldree, Graduate
  • TE Ryan Renick, Graduate
  • LB Keeath Magee II, Graduate
  • OL Ryan McCollum, Graduate
  • DB Myles Jones, Senior
  • LB Buddy Johnson, Senior
  • QB Kellen Mond, Senior
  • WR Camron Buckley, Senior
  • RB AJ Sanders, Senior
  • LB Aaron Hansford, Senior
  • WR Dylan Taylor, Senior
  • OL Carson Green, Senior
  • OL Dan Moore Jr., Senior
  • OL Jared Hocker, Senior
  • DL Jayden Peevy, Senior

Wow, that’s a long list. Could some of them come back due to this year being a free year of eligibility? Sure, for example after losing his senior year due to injury I anticipate Camron Buckley coming back. However, each and every one of them deserves a thank you from the Aggie faithful as they prepare for the Orange Bowl in Miami at the start of 2021.

I want to highlight just a handful of names on this list, starting with the most obvious. Kellen Mond. You started your career unexpectedly after Nick Starkel got injured against UCLA, but you haven’t looked back since. You have gotten better and better as the weeks turned into years and we are blessed to have called you our quarterback for the last four seasons. Congratulations on every accolade you have garnered, you deserve every single one QB1.

Braden White. Thank you for being an amazing 12th Man these last two seasons and representing this school with pride. That is something that won’t be forgotten.

Dan Moore Jr. Ryan McCollum. Carson Green. Jared Hocker. Thank you for protecting our quarterback and allowing running lanes for running back after running back that you have seen through your time here. You guys deserve that Moore Award and I can only hope that you are celebrated for your success here in 2020.

Michael Clemons. Aaron Hansford. Ikenna Okeke. Keeath Magee II. Buddy Johnson. Travon Fuller. Myles Jones. Keldrick Carper. Jayden Peevy. Thanks for getting to the quarterback. Thanks for touchdown-saving tackles. Thanks for being part of the resurgence of the Wrecking Crew at times. Specific thank you to Aaron Hansford for being willing to move around on this team and find where you fit best. You rocked the linebacker position.

Even if I didn’t mention you specifically, know that you are seen and you are appreciated for the time and effort that you have put forth for this team. This group is special and the Aggie faithful should be thankful that they put on the Maroon and White for any stretch of time. Congratulations on your graduation guys. We wish you luck at the next level.
