Oklahoma football put together another top-notch recruiting class in 2021 with five top-100 signees so far and here are three who will play right away.

The Oklahoma football program is getting set to take on Florida in the Cotton Bowl in just a few days in one of the more highly-anticipated non-playoff matchups.

Of course, one reason why the Sooners continue to play in games like the Cotton Bowl and win Big 12 championships is because of the recruiting machine Oklahoma football has built — one that has continued under head coach Lincoln Riley.

The class of early signees for Oklahoma football wasn’t huge. In fact, just 16 recruits inked with Oklahoma in the early period, but the class is star-studded with 13 of the signed recruits ranking as four-star prospects or better in the 247 sports composite rankings.

That group also includes the best dual-threat quarterback in the country in five-star Caleb Williams, which shouldn’t come as a surprise with all the success OU has had at that position.

Just in the recent run of the starting quarterbacks there has been Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts and now Spencer Rattler, a former five-star recruit who’s already a star and will likely join the others as an early-round draft pick soon.

That’s assuming he can hold off Williams for the job but after 32 total touchdowns and leading the Sooners to a Big 12 championship, he would certainly seem to have a leg up.

That will be an interesting battle to watch next fall, but here are three Oklahoma signees who will play right away next season.
