3. Billy Bowman (athlete)

The first guy on this list is actually Oklahoma’s second-highest rated signee according to the 247 sports composite rankings, Billy Bowman, who is ranked 38th overall in the 2021 class.

Bowman is a fascinating prospect and at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, he could legitimately play on either side of the ball for the Sooners and actually, he’s dynamic on special teams too, so he’s a guy who could be a three-way impact player for Oklahoma right away.

On top of Bowman, the Sooners signed three other four-star recruits at wide receiver, which makes you think that maybe Bowman will be used on the defensive side of the ball, where he could excel as a defensive back.

In part because he doubles as a receiver, Bowman has really good ball skills in coverage and his 247 sports profile compares him to Cyrus Jones of the Baltimore Ravens.

Landing the versatile athlete, who has legit track speed over rival Texas was one of the biggest wins this recruiting cycle for OU and Bowman will show you why next season as an early contributor in more than one phase of the game.
