2. Mario Williams (wide receiver)

Oklahoma loves to throw the football and the Sooners don’t shy away from playing wide receivers early in their careers which is why it makes a lot of sense that four-star signee Mario Williams will make an early impact.

Williams is out of Plant City, Florida and is ranked by the 247 sports composite rankings as the No. 42 player overall in 2021 and the fourth-ranked wide receiver.

During the first three years of his high school career, he caught 120 passes for 2,448 yards and also scored 33 touchdowns. He averaged over 20 yards per reception.

At 5-foot-11, 178 pounds, Williams is also the kind of electrifying talent we have become used to seeing from the Sooners at wide receiver over the years. Marvin Mims is a great example of another freshman stepping in early and being a big contributor for the Sooners.

He racked up over 500 yards receiving this season but the Sooners will need more playmakers at the position after losing some elite talent over the past few seasons and Williams is one of the 2021 recruits who can fill the void right away.
