Who wins?

Most of the time, bowl games come down to the team that’s the most motivated and in this Alamo Bowl matchup between Texas football and Colorado, you might think that’s the Buffaloes.

Colorado is coming into the game with a 4-1 record and even though the season was short, it was the most positive since 2016 for Colorado. The loss at home to Utah maybe exposed this team, but Colorado will be fired up for this game and on paper, it’s fun a matchup of old Big 12 rivals.

But even though Texas football is dealing with a number of opt outs and some transfers, it still feels like the Longhorns want to prove a point here. 7-3 certainly sounds a lot better than 6-4 and given the chance to beat one of the better teams in the Pac-12 should also be motivating.

Texas should want to prove that it underachieved this season, plus if this is Ehlinger’s last game with the program, he will want to go out a winner.

Jarek Broussard is a dangerous back for Colorado and he will give the Horns some issues but Colorado quarterback Sam Noyer is too unproven and threw five picks in five games.

A 4-0 bowl record is also nothing to scoff at and at the end the of the day, Texas is just too good. Colorado will fight but the Longhorns get a lead early and don’t look back.
