Bijan Robinson and Texas running game goes off

One name to watch in this one for Texas is running back Bijan Robinson who went for over 100 yards rushing in two of the final three outings including a 172 yards on nine carries and three touchdowns in the regular season finale against Kansas State.

For the season, Robinson averaged 6.8 yards per carry and the Alamo Bowl would be the perfect time to get the freshman some more work heading into next season.

He’s received double-digit carries in four of the last five games and the Longhorns put together a 4-1 record during that time frame. He also never rushed for fewer than 55 yards and his lowest rushing average in a game was 4.6.

Robinson won’t carry the load by himself as Roschon Johnson and Ehlinger will also contribute in the running game but against a Colorado defense that allowed nearly five yards per attempt during the regular season, the ground game should be solid for the Longhorns.

And I’d expect a couple of big runs by Robinson who will net this third 100-yard game of the season.
