Miami football will try to cap off its season in a positive fashion with a win in the Cheez-It Bowl and here are three predictions for the Hurricanes.

After a two-day break from bowl games, college football fans will be treated to a couple of intriguing matchups Tuesday including a top-25 battle between Miami football and Oklahoma State in the Cheez-It Bowl.

This game has had a bunch of different names over the years — The Champs Sports Bowl, the Camping World Bowl — but whatever you want to call it, the game always produces an exciting matchup and that’s no different in 2020.

Miami ranked 18th in the final College Football Playoff rankings and Oklahoma State was 21st. The Cowboys come in with a 7-3 record, while the Hurricanes are 8-2 but fresh off an embarrassing loss at home to North Carolina.

That loss cost Miami a chance to play in the Orange Bowl and is also left a bad taste in the mouth of the Hurricanes after they were run all over by the Tar Heels in a 62-26 domination.

Miami football will be plenty motivated to rebound tonight against Oklahoma State and here are three bold predictions for the Cheez-It Bowl.

D’Eriq King has a day and Miami hits 40

In the best news Miami football could have gotten leading up to this game, D’Eriq King announced he was returning next season for the Hurricanes, which should give the program a shot in the arm.

That will certainly help in this game. King was subpar against North Carolina and I’d expect a much better effort Tuesday. Oklahoma State has allowed 40 or more points on four different occasions this season.

Oklahoma State allows just 205 passing yards per game but during the season, the Cowboys only notched six picks in 10 games.

King, on the other hand, has a number of talented pass catchers to target including senior Mike Harley who caught fire down the stretch. Cam’ron Harris is starting to emerge at running back and simply with King playing much better than his last outing, the Canes offense should get back on the right track.

King will have a really good day and account for at least three total touchdowns as the Miami offense gets over 40 on the scoreboard.
