Sugar Bowl: 3 players to watch between Ohio State and Clemson
Clemson and Ohio State are going to square off in the Sugar Bowl Friday night and here’s three players to watch for both the Tigers and Buckeyes.
Ohio State and Clemson are both loaded on each side of the ball. Some easy players to watch in this game would be the likes of Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, and Travis Etienne. But there is no fun in that at all. Let’s go ahead and take a look at three players who should have a say in advancing in the playoffs, and winning the Sugar Bowl.
What is better than bringing in the new year with some college playoff football? Not much, not much at all. The second game of the playoffs in the 2 vs 3 matchup is a rematch of the playoffs from last year between the Clemson Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
It was a great game last year, and should be another classic between two historic programs this time around too.
For Clemson, the Tigers are coming off another ACC Championship with a 34-10 thrashing of Notre Dame on December 19th.
Ohio State on the other hand, had a lot closer matchup against Northwestern. The Buckeyes were able to eventually pull away late and capture their fourth Big Ten Championship in a row.
Both teams come into this game with outstanding quarterbacks in Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. These two are likely the first and second draft picks in this upcoming NFL Draft as well.
This playoff game really does feature talented players on both sides. But here are three players to watch in this exciting playoff matchup.
