2. Cincinnati proved it belonged

Cincinnati felt they should have been in consideration for that last playoff spot, but the committee slotted them eighth in the final rankings, behind two loss Oklahoma and three loss Florida.

Some did not think that Cincinnati could hang with a team as talented as Georgia, but the Bearcats proved that they were a legit team and they way that group of five teams are perceived needs to change.

For three quarters, the Bearcats defense locked up a Georgia offense that was humming as good as any in the country over the last three games once Daniels took over at quarterback.

People will point to the final result and say that Cincinnati could not finish, but the Bearcats are one of the best teams in the country and they made Georgia earn every bit of that victory and the Bearcats could be a team to watch next year under head coach Luck Fickell.
