5. Todd Hartley- University of Georgia Tight Ends Coach

Todd Hartley is currently the tight ends coach at the University of Georgia and is also a former Miami assistant.

Hartley also spent four years coaching at Marshall, which may be appealing because experience coaching in West Virginia and recruiting the area is something that is going to be vital for the next head coach if he hopes to have success like Holliday did.

Hartley worked at Marshall from 2011-2014 and while he was with the Thundering Herd, he served in a number of roles, including recruiting coordinator, tight ends coach and special teams coach.

While Hartley has yet to hold a coordinator position or a head coaching job, he has had a great amount of success on the recruiting trail, both at Miami and at Georgia and has coached some of the best tight ends in the country while at both jobs.

Hartley is a bit of a longshot, but some of the best coaches in the game such as Dabo Swinney and Ed Orgeron have started out as position coaches that were elite recruiters and that might appeal to Marshall football.
