After dominant semifinal performances, Alabama and Ohio State square off in Miami with the College Football Playoff title on the line.

It’s been a long, winding – and oftentimes crazy – road to get here, but Alabama and Ohio State have arrived in the National Championship game in Miami for the culmination of the 2020 college football season.

The Crimson Tide arrive here a perfect 12-0, fresh off of a 31-14 win over Notre Dame in Jerry World’s version of the Rose Bowl, with a Walmart parking lot serving as a backdrop instead of the San Gabriel Mountains, perfectly befitting of 2020.

In our first segment this week, we breakdown the matchup between the Tide and Irish, examining the ins and outs of the game. We also get into a little bit of talk about what it’s actually going to take for Brian Kelly to get Notre Dame to summit the mountain. The Irish have been close, but there still seems to be a noticeable gap between them and the likes of Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State.

The Buckeyes arrive in Miami a perfect 7-0 on the heels of a 49-28 thumping of Clemson in the Sugar Bowl giving them sweet revenge from their defeat at the hands of the Tigers in last year’s playoff semifinal.

In our second segment, we dissect the shocking result in the Sugar Bowl. Neither of us was particularly surprised to see Ohio State come out on top, but the sheer dominance of Ryan Day’s team surely surprised even the most ardent of Buckeye supporters.

Ohio State picked a great time to play its best game, and now the Buckeyes seem to have hit their stride heading into next Monday’s title matchup.

In the final segment, we dive into the national championship game between Alabama and Ohio State, offering up our analysis of the game before leveling our predictions for which side stands alone as this year’s national champion as the only unbeaten team.
