Nebraska football added a big commitment over the weekend and here are top three recruiting targets left for the Huskers in 2021.

While most teams do the majority of their recruiting work during the early signing period, some kids still aren’t signing until February and in the late period, Nebraska football has already added at least one key piece to its 2021 recruiting class.

Four-star linebacker Wynden Ho’ohuli pledged to Nebraska football last Saturday in a major recruiting win for the Huskers. Out of Hawaii, Ho’ohuli is ranked 148th nationally in the 247 sports composite rankings and he’s the Huskers top defensive commit in the 2021 class.

His addition gives Nebraska football five four-star recruits in 2021 and two that rank in the top 100. Yet, the Huskers and head coach Scott Frost still have work to do and here are three of the top targets remaining on the board.

4-star corner Avante Dickerson

An obvious name to make this list is Avante Dickerson, a four-star cornerback out of Omaha, Nebraska that’s currently committed to Minnesota. Yet, in a bit of good news for Nebraska football and others, Dickerson didn’t sign in December, leaving open the door for a flip.

Nebraska did land his teammate Koby Bretz in December and the Huskers have been really making a push and gaining momentum, despite the fact that the season didn’t play out quite as well as Frost and company hoped.

Other programs are in the mix too, but the addition of a four-star defender could give the Huskers even more momentum and this is the top recruiting battle to watch in the final months of the 2021 cycle.

Here are two other targets to watch.
