Alabama football will look to finish a perfect season with a stellar win over No. 3 Ohio State in the 2021 national championship.

This will be the fifth all-time matchup between the two historic programs. The last time Ohio State and Alabama met on the gridiron was in the 2015 Sugar Bowl which was a playoff semifinal in New Orleans. The No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes beat No. 1 Alabama, who came in as a seven-point favorite. The Buckeyes scored 28 unanswered points in the second and third quarters.

The Crimson Tide are looking to get revenge on the Buckeyes as well as finish a stellar and dominant season highlighted by the accomplishments of their players. Alabama players won seven of the 10 major awards. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith won the 2020 Heisman Trophy after an outstanding season.

There are many storylines are going into the national championship game One of which will the status of Alabama wide junior Jaylen Waddle, who is the more flexible and dynamic receiver for the Tide. Another will be the potential injury of Buckeye quarterback Justin Fields, who took a hard hit to the ribs in the playoff win over No. 2 Clemson.

The Crimson Tide are currently an eight-point favorite over the Ohio State Buckeyes.
