Alabama football has been dominant all season and it prepares to face Ohio State for the National Championship. Here is your preview of the matchup.

The Alabama Crimson Tide has been dominant from the first snap this season. Now, they prepare for a national championship against a team in Ohio State that may be down a few players due to COVID protocols and has a slightly injured quarterback. It seems like this should be an easy win for the Tide, but Ohio State did just dominate Clemson and is going to be ready to take on the Tide.

Keys to Victory

For Alabama football, I feel as if it is just about playing their game from start to finish offensively. With the exception of the Ole Miss matchup in which they went toe to toe offensively, the Tide has been dominating teams left and right throughout the season including their semi-final matchup with Notre Dame.

With Heisman finalist, Mac Jones and winner DeVonta Smith along with Najee Harris in the backfield is a winning combination in my book. All they have to do is put up their normal points per game offensively and I think they will run away with this one, no matter how the defense plays- though I think the unit can be good enough to take on Ohio State and their strong offensive line.

For Ohio State, it starts with defense- especially if Jaylen Waddle does come back for Alabama. Will they be able to cover Smith and Waddle as well as block Harris from getting the yards he has been getting week after week? Justin Fields also has to get a strong day from his offensive line, allowing him to throw for at least 350 and a handful of scores to stand up to Alabama’s offense.

Prediction

I think that Alabama has the key in this one, especially if Waddle does end up coming back. However, Ohio State won’t lay down and let things happen. This ends up being a shoot out and Alabama has the ability to win games like that and I’m not sure that Ohio State does.
