There will be no shortage of great players on the field in the final game of the College Football Playoff between Ohio State and Alabama. These three might determine the outcome of the game.

By the numbers, Monday evening’s National Championship game features the most talented Title game ever. According to Bud Elliot of 247Sports and the Barton and Bud Podcast, 85 percent of Alabama’s players are blue chippers and 83 percent of Ohio State’s players are blue chip prospects. There is little doubt there are future NFL All-Pros playing on the 11th.

The list of blue chip prospects includes Ohio State junior quarterback Justin Fields. The signal-caller from Georgia could be a top-five draft pick in this upcoming NFL Draft. Protecting Fields is interior lineman Wyatt Davis. The junior guard is the top interior offensive lineman in this draft. Junior defensive back Shaun Wade has the task of tracking Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith.

Alabama never has a shortage of big-time players. The Crimson Tide has their own 1st-round offensive lineman talent in Alex Leatherwood. In addition to Smith, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle might play. Defensive back Patrick Surtain has the task of chasing both Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson all over the field.

That said, the dueling running backs, Trey Sermon and Najee Harris along with DeVonta Smith are three players who will have a huge hand on who wins this game. Sermon needs to come up big like he has the last two games and if Ohio State drops seven or eight players into coverage Harris could have a big game.

Here is a closer look at Trey Sermon, DeVonta Smith and Najee Harris.
