Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Penn State. player. LB. Micah Parsons. 6. 54

The Eagles have plenty of needs this offseason, starting with head coach. Once they get that situation all figured out, they can start to focus on the NFL draft.

Defensive backs, offensive line and wide receiver are the biggest needs for the Eagles but linebacker is also a position group needing upgrades. This team needs just about everything, so I see the Eagles going with the top prospect on the board here and he just so happens to be a local kid in Micah Parsons.

The Penn State linebacker grew up in Pennsylvania before attending college in Happy Valley. He had an immediate impact as a freshman, recording 82 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He improved on all of those numbers as a sophomore with 109 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles and five passes defended.

Parsons was one of the top prospects who decided to opt out of the 2020 season to prepare for the NFL draft. His stock didn’t take a hit.

Philadelphia needs a linebacker of the future, so why not take a kid who has played football in the state of Pennsylvania his entire life and is considered this class’ top defensive prospect.
