South Carolina football, led by new head coach Shane Beamer, has a ton of questions for the 2021 offseason after going 2-8 in 2020.

Former Texas defensive coordinator and former Florida head coach Will Muschamp was brought in to lead the Gamecocks after 10.5 seasons of Steve Spurrier. He started his first three seasons with an overall record of 22-17 including a 9-4 record in his second year.

Despite a strong start, Muschamp followed up last year and this season with a 6-13 record. The Gamecocks started the season with a 2-5 record that resulted in Muschamp being fired shortly before the end of the regular season. South Carolina finished the season with an overall record of 2-8.

Their first three games of the season were against ranked teams in Tennessee, Florida and Auburn. There was solid momentum after a 41-7 win at Vanderbilt and then a shocking 30-22 win over No. 15 Auburn.

Needing to take a solid direction especially with the Clemson Tigers competing in the same state, the Gamecocks hired Oklahoma assistant/tight ends coach Shane Beamer to be their new head coach. Beamer is a coach who has had an extensive history with the program and the state of South Carolina.

Beamer is a former assistant for the Gamecocks from 2007-2010 in several different positions under Spurrier. He will lead the Gamecocks into the offseason and a new breath of culture into the offseason and attempt to bring a winning team to Columbia for the first time since 2018.

What questions will the Gamecocks be facing this offseason?
