Tight End

Starter: Darnell Washington
Backup: John Fitzpatrick

This is a group that has a lot of talent and could breakout in 2021. Good luck finding a better mismatch than Darnell Washington anywhere in the country. At 6-foot-7 and 260 pounds, Washington is a physical freak and could be an All-SEC performer by the end of the season.

John Fitzpatrick will be a solid option behind Washington, but it will be tough to get a lot of targets because of the talent of Washington and the receivers on the outside.

A name to watch for UGA fans will be incoming freshman Brock Bowers. He is a four-star prospect out of California and could challenge for playing time.

A name that has Georgia fans excited is LSU tight end Arik Gilbert. He is one of the highest rated tight end recruits ever and decided to transfer from LSU after a standout season in 2020. Gilbert is from Georgia and it is worth keeping an eye on if the Bulldogs can convince him to come back home. Gilbert and Washington would be one heck of a tight end duo.
