Starting X Receiver: Justyn Ross

Starting Z Receiver: Joseph Ngata

Backup: Frank Ladson

While the Clemson receiving corps is sure to miss Amari Rodgers and Cornell Powell, they will welcome back Justyn Ross, who’s big play ability was sorely missed last season. Ross was a budding star and was Clemson’s top receiver in 2019 and 2018, but had to sit last season out with a career threatening injury. Joseph Ngata should be considered a breakout candidate and he showed flashes of his ability last season.

This position was a bit of a disappointment last season, but it was not until it faced Ohio State in the semifinal that Clemson was exposed on the outside. A concern here could be if Ross is not the same player he was before the injury and the other guys are not ready to step up yet. Frank Ladson has ton of talent, but has not lived up to expectations yet. This is a talented, but somewhat unproven unit.
