EA Sports College Football is finally announced

After years of waiting, college football will return to gaming systems as EA Sports announced its returning to college football. The game will have a new name as it will be called “EA Sports College Football” going forward and not “NCAA Football” but either way, it’s coming back.

Daryl Holt, EA Sports vice president and general manager, confirmed to ESPN the game-maker will be returning to the space with EA Sports College Football.

"“As we look for the momentum that we’re building on in sports, it all starts with the passion of our fans and the opportunities of what they are interested in,” Holt said to ESPN. “I don’t think there’s a visit where I go outside wearing a piece of EA Sports-branded apparel that someone doesn’t go, “Hey, when is college football coming back?”"

EA Sports also dropped this on Twitter which definitely got people excited, although the details are still pretty sparse at this point.

While a lot of have heard the rumors and found alternatives including most who play EA’s other half to NCAA Football, Madden series we got a little teaser in the “Face of the Franchise” mode where you would start your story mode coming out of High School, National Signing Day, then jumping right into the current College Football Playoff Semi-Final & Championship Games before moving on to the NFL Draft.

This mode gave all of the Madden Players as well as the NCAA Football fans hope that either EA or maybe 2K Sports or maybe someone else would finally pick up the beloved series.

Currently we have no outside information outside of the facts that this is going to be released on next gen consoles which right now we all assume it’s currently PlayStation5 & Xbox Series X, we’ve got no word on current PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

The biggest change is that instead of being named “NCAA Football” as it was in the past, the game will be called EA Sports College Football according to the ESPN article. There are surely to be other changes and hopefully, we will soon know the release date.
