EA Sports announced that the video game franchise NCAA Football will make its return as EA Sports College Football. These 5 things are must-adds for dynasty mode.

It’s been a long time since we’ve been blessed with a college football video game – 2,765 (if it’s Tuesday) days, to be exact. But around midday on Tuesday, the EA Sports Twitter account posted a picture of a confetti-littered field with the words, “College Football is coming back.” The accompanying message? “For those who never stopped believing…#EASportsCollegeFootball”. Luckily, die-hards of the franchise never did.

But we’ve missed out on a lot of great players since the game’s 2013 release, including studs like Saquon Barkley, Joey & Nick Bosa, and Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson. Don’t forget about Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray – four of the last five Heisman Trophy winners.

Imagine starting a dynasty with Penn State and building around Barkley, or finally pushing Oklahoma to postseason success with Mayfield or Murray at the helm. That’s what dynasty mode was all about. The little things mattered too, though – the recruiting, your assistants, player development. It all made the mode one of the most unique in video games. And although we missed out on a number of great players and teams, a fresh version of the game could provide plenty to be excited about.

We’ll be laying out additions – based on NCAA 14 – that would make the EA Sports College Football dynasty mode a more realistic and fun experience. From greater player and coach influence, to new rivalries and playoff options, expectations are all over the place for the birth of EA Sports College Football.
