Anyone who watched Notre Dame this season would have noticed that one thing was missing: an elite go-to receiver. Sure, guys stepped up like Javon McKinley and Ben Skowronek, but neither would be considered a clear go-to receiver in a normal year, but the Irish faced plenty of injuries and some young guys just weren’t ready for the increased role.

That should change in 2021 but that shouldn’t stop Brian Kelly from recruiting elite targets and that’s exactly what Tetairoa McMillan is.

McMillan, a five-star receiver from California, will have his pick from the litter when it comes to picking a college as he currently holds two dozen offers and that number is only going to grow this spring and summer.

Some feel like McMillan could choose to stay out west and play in the Pac-12 and play for Oregon, USC or Stanford, but LSU and Notre Dame are making their cases.

Notre Dame could use McMillan and that has to be the pitch that Brian Kelly is using. He could be that No. 1 receiver from day one if he chooses the Irish.
