Nebraska Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2021 Huskers
We found out the full Nebraska football schedule last week and here are early game-by-game predictions for the Huskers in 2021.
Last week, the Big Ten Conference released its 2021 football schedule and we now have a final look at what the 12-game slate looks like for Nebraska football.
It’s one that actually starts with a Big Ten game against Illinois, in Dublin, Ireland. And the game actually counts as one of Nebraska’s four Big-Ten road games, so in that regard, it’s not all bad, although the Huskers added a very tough trip to Oklahoma in non-conference play.
Either way, it’s the fourth year for head coach Scott Frost and it’s getting close to being do or die for the former Husker great, who just hasn’t found much success as a head coach in Lincoln, despite being a star at Central Florida.
Frost is 12-20 in three seasons at the helm of Nebraska football and it’s been years since the Huskers have reached a bowl game since 2015 and fans have suffered through four straight losing seasons.
It’s true that Frost walked into a major rebuild and fixing things has taken longer than expected. There have been struggles at quarterback and injuries and a bunch of roster turnover.
However, there was some hope at the end of 2020. Adrien Martinez played well down the stretch as the Huskers finished 3-5. If Martinez can put together a productive, 12-game season for the Huskers in 2021, a bowl game is a definite possibility and here’s a look at the game-by-game predictions for the Huskers in 2021.
