Games 9-12

Ohio State: L

Ohio State might be without Justin Fields, but the Buckeyes are loaded with talent and are bringing in a ridiculously talented recruiting class. Quarterback CJ Stroud is also going to be a star. Like Oklahoma, Nebraska just doesn’t have the talent to win this game.

Southeastern Louisiana: W

This is the one FCS opponent on the schedule and the game is in November because the first game was against Illinois in Ireland and the Huskers should roll here as they achieve bowl eligibility for the first time under Scott Frost.

Wisconsin: L

This will be an important test. I do think Nebraska will put up more of a fight against Wisconsin than it has in the past. The front seven and the run defense should be better, plus with Martinez at quarterback, the offense should be too.

But I think Wisconsin is going to win the division and Nebraska will lose this one something like 31-17.

Iowa: W

Frost is 0-3 against Iowa as the head coach at Nebraska and those three losses came by a combined 12 points. The first two losses were by three points and last year, Nebraska lost 26-20 and after having the ball late, the Huskers couldn’t close it out.

With a 6-5 record, Nebraska will really need this win. It’s turned into a rivalry game — a real rivalry and in his fourth year, Frost really needs a win and I think he’ll get it.
